America's Best Idea – the national parks – gets even better with several fee-free days at more than 100 national parks that usually charge entrance fees.*
Several times per year the National Parks Service throws open the doors to 100 or so parks that normally charge admission and offers gratis entry to families across the county.
January 15-17, Martin Luther King, Jr. birthday weekend, is another one of those times. So if you live near a national park, or within a nice day trip of one, plan ahead to take advantage of this excellent deal!

(First day of summer) - September 24

(Veterans Day weekend)
