SURVEYS AND PANELS

I was so excited when I was invited to attend an opinion panel after completing a convenience food survey. Not only will I be asked my opinion on a new line of convenience foods, but I will be paid $100 for my time. Now these opinion panels are usually about 1 to 1.5 hrs long. That is some decent wages, eh? Sometimes they have been known to over book and they don't need you after all - but guess what...they pay you anyway! Woohoo!

Over the years I have done these a few times and haven't received less than $60 dollars (cash, mind you) for my time. Nice.

There are many survey companies on the Internet but you really need to check them out before signing up. Check out my LINK LIST for potential SURVEY sites. Instead of hours spent in front of the TV watching mindless programs and idiotic commercials, I do surveys for points which are then redeemed for services and/or products. For example - each year I pick up 6 free Blockbuster rentals for participating in eRewards.com surveys. Often times you get points just for reading the email invitation for the survey. It's not alot, no, but it's FREE entertainment. Likewise, I have used my points for magazine subscriptions which I in turn find coupons and other deals in and of course enjoy just rifling through the pages of each one.

Check those sales receipts. Many ask for you to go online and complete a survey or make a phone call and give them feedback - more times than not, you are rewarded for your time with a free item!  It takes less time than you'd spend watching commercials during your favorite TV show!
