Today's savvy shopping session went like this:

Before I hit the pavement, I hit the keyboard to scoop on some online deals!
2 new tops from Macy's - had a gift card - for the cost of shipping! Not bad!
(oh yeah, AND...I used the Hawaiian Shopping Mall to "click thru" to get airline points on my purchase - my next trip is only 18 months away! hehe!)

First stop - 7-11 for my FREE slurpee - was GREAT in this 93ยบ weather! Yum!
Next stop - Walgreen's:

I also picked up 2 bottles of hydrogen peroxide and 1 bottle of rubbing alcohol - all for $1.00 each. I normally get these items at the 99c Store - but same difference and it saved me an extra stop. These items will be turned into our FSA plan for reimbursement - chaching! Zero out of pocket!

Next stop - Target aka "Tar-jay":

The first thing I did was drop off a prescription refill order from my doctor. While they were filling it, I went through the clearance section. I have another eligible refill on this one 'script which I will transfer to RiteAid in a couple of weeks and make $25.00. I have a 2nd Rx that I will be doing the same on that one as well.

1st Purchase for my Rx: $3.20 - which will be turned into our FSA Plan for complete reimbursement. ZERO cost and I'll make $25.00.

I picked up the following on clearance:
1 - Soft Soap Shower Gel for daughter - large bottle (18oz.) for $2.83
1 - Old Spice 3 pk Deoderant - $2.78 (that's .92c each)
1 - Secret 3 pk Deoderant - $2.78 (that's .92c each)

Next was the pet section (yes, yes...my dog is spoiled...but only because she has a frugal mom) and I picked up:
2 - 24 pc Pedigree DentiSnacks - $3.74ea less $2.50 coupon = $1.24ea
1 - 4pc squeeky ball set - on clearance $3.19

Total bill for 2nd purchase with tax = $15.73
Paid with Gift Card - ChaChing - NO OUT OF POCKET!!

3rd Target Purchase (needed a seperate receipt for rebate)
I picked up 2 additional Olay products (I use this stuff faithfully) which qualified for a $20.00 rebate. (I had already purchased 2 qualifying products earlier in the month at 1/2 price w/coupons from Walgreen's...it pays to shop the sale bins)

I had a coupon for one of the products and there was an on the box coupon on the other. I wasn't sure I was going to qualify for the 2nd coupon, but the computer allowed it - woohoo! An additional $3.00 off! Sweet!

Total bill w/tax was $29.43
I used the balance of g.c. - which brought the balance down to $19.84.
Less rebate on these products - brings total to ZERO!
(Have I already told you, "Zero is my hero"? hehehehe)

And there, my friends, you have it...my shopping for today! Most of these items were regular consumables that we use. A little somethin' for my puppy...and a little yummy for my tummy from 7-11. Not bad!

EVENING UPDATE: Went back to Target - picked up 10 Sobe LifeWater's for $10 - had 5 coupons for B1G1 - they gave me a $5.00 g.c. and I walked out of there with 10 bottles for FREE.
On my way back, I stopped off and picked up a LARGE 1 topping FREE pizza from PapaJohn's and we're finishing that off with FREE icecream from Baskin Robbins (it pays to give blood...haha) Dinner, drinks and desert - FREE!!
