SEARCH AND DESTROY MISSION - 7/12/09

Another fun filled day of shopping and saving! Woohoo! Love It!

First stop, Cost Plus World Market - returned purchase from Saturday - didn't work and checked on the supply for reuseable bags. All out. Another shipment will be in next Saturday! Doors open @ 9:00a.m. - these are nice quality heavy duty reusable shopping bags.

Next stop - Target!
I picked up my 2nd Rx - $3.20 - will turn in to FSA - ZERO cost! This will be transferred to RiteAid for $25.00!
We made the perimeter rounds going through all kinds of sale merchandise. I picked up a new dog leash for $1.00 (XOE chewed through her other on Sat.) along with some scrap booking stickers (all under $1.00, a little 'rock and roll' cami for my friend's granddaughter for $1.00!! A butane candle lighter 1/2 off and supplies from the beauty section that were on sale. I picked up some computer ink and got a $10 gift card which in turn purchased 10 more Sobe Lifewater's which were on sale for 10/$10 (FREE) and I got another $5.00 g.c. for that purchase. I then paid for all my other items (stickers, lighter, bread, misc.) and used my g.c.'s to drop my out of pocket.

By the way - trivia: The new Sobe Lifewater uses Pure Via as their 'zero' calorie sweetener! Yeah! This is a 100% natural sweetener and I found a link for a FREE sample of it HERE (while supplies last!)

Next stop - P.F. Chang's for lunch! We got there and got a up front and personal parking place (love it when that happens) and waited just a few minutes to be seated. We (my girlfriend and I) ordered two appetizers - the lettuce wraps, our favorite...plus we wanted to try the crunchy green beans! Oh, yummmmy! We had the egg drop soup and then came the lunch bowls - couldn't eat all mine so - take home! (Dinner is served). My girlfriend had two coupons for free lunch bowls and a free appetizer sooooo...we both ate at P.F. Chang's for $6.00 each! (including the tip!) Can't beat that!! Yeah, baby!

After lunch we went over to Vera Bradley to pick up a deal they had on their lunch bags - $10.00 off! They had them in both our patterns! Gotta love it!

We stopped at a salon that carried AVEDA and picked up some travel samples (had a coupon) and then moved on to the next stop.

Next stop - Another Cost Plus World Market (different part of town) checking for the reusable bags - all gone. Went on next door to Ross where I picked up thee cutestttt broom. My ratty ol' straw one was just "done" and this cute cheetah and rose printed handle one was perfect! Gee, maybe it'll make me wanna sweep more, now! Har! I also picked up a cute little dress for XOE - cheap, cheap! Checked out for under $10.00 (no bag of course).

Drove down the street to Kohl's. We had $10 coupons off $10 purchase. Got in there and there was 80% and 90% off signs EVERYWHERE! Need I say more! I picked up 7 tops for Nicole (hoodies and tees) for under $40.00. The receipt at the bottom said "your savings - $147.01" !!! Score!! My girlfriend found a $40.00 Schwarski crystal bracelet on sale and with coupon she paid $3.69!! Right on!!

After Kohl's we were done! I then later went to the grocery store for a few items and to Subway where I picked up two $5.00 footlong subs for $3.00 each (had gift cards) That was dinner for hubby last night and dinner and lunch today for me! Can't beat that with a stick, eh?

All in all I thought it was a VERY successful shopping day!
